Description

This presentation will discuss the impact of Chronic Venus Insufficiency (CVI) across the healthcare industry. The speakers will discuss treatment options, the impact CVI has on patients as well as the pathophysiology.

Objectives:

  • Review the lower extremity venous anatomy
  • Discuss pathophysiology of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI)
  • Understand treatment modalities of CVI

Statement of Accreditation
The Texas Osteopathic Medical Association (TOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. TOMA designates is program for a maximum of .75 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Daniel Rizzo's Profile

Daniel Rizzo Related seminars and products


Dr. Daniel Rizzo is a board-certified general surgeon and an integral part of the Vitality Vein Care team. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at San Diego in general biology, Dr. Rizzo went on to become a doctor of osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University – Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He rounded out his collegiate education at Ohio University – Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center where he completed his general surgery residency. Upon completing his education, Dr. Rizzo served in the United States Navy where he earned various medals and worked as an attending physician, oversaw the surgical residency didactic program, and deployed multiple times. At the end of his military career in 2018, Dr. Rizzo settled down in Dallas, TX where he remains with his wife and children.

Aaron Roberts, DO's Profile

Dr. Aaron Roberts is the executive director and a board-certified general surgeon at Vitality Vein Care in Prosper, TX. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M University, he went on to become a doctor of osteopathic medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2008. He then went on to complete his general surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Medicine, which he completed in June 2013. One month later, Dr. Roberts joined the United States Air Force as a major on the special operations surgical team. Over the next four years, Dr. Roberts simultaneously served in the Air Force and was a clinical assistant professor of trauma at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

At Vitality Vein Care, Dr. Roberts works with patients to treat venous insufficiency in the lower extremities and also aims to create meaningful relationships and systems so he can provide his patients with an excellent experience.

Bradley Hart, MD, PhD, FACS's Profile

Dr. Bradley Hart is a board-certified general surgeon and valued team member of Vitality Vein Care. After earning his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in biology, Dr. Hart went on to earn his Ph.D. in integrative physiology from the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Fort Worth, then his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. He completed his general surgery residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in 2009. While obtaining his Master's and Doctorate degrees, Dr. Hart published in multiple journals, including the American Journal of Physiology – Heart & Circulatory Physiology, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, Current Surgery, and more.
