Accreditation Statement:  This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society (SCOMS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Dr. Ronald Januchowski is board certified Family Medicine Physician and Associate Dean for Curriculum, Assessment and Medical Education at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas in Spartanburg, SC. He previously served as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at VCOM-Carolinas.

During his tenure at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Dr. Januchowski was the first Osteopathic Medical Program Director in the state of South Carolina where he integrated the Rotating Osteopathic Internship and Osteopathic Family Medicine program into the existing medical education system at SRMC. He also served as Osteopathic Director of Medical Education and Director of Student Medical Education SRMC.

Dr. Januchowski is a military veteran with more than 30 years of service in the U.S. Army. During his military career, he functioned as a General Practice Physician for an airborne infantry brigade in the 82nd Airborne Division providing medical care for 1,500 soldiers and their families. He was also deployed to Kosovo and served as the physician for the 3/504th Parachute Infantry Regiment in 2000.

He received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC, where he was Family Practice Resident of the Year. Dr. Januchowski completed a Family Medicine Faculty Development Fellowship at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He serves on the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and is a member of the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Januchowski is a Past President of the South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society.
