In this presentation, Dr. Clark will show the increased incidence of type 2 diabetes in children. She will look at the importance and difficulty of diagnosing type 1 and type 2 diabetes. She will also discuss risk factors, appropriate screening, appropriate management, comorbidities, and complications of type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Amy Clark is a Pediatric Endocrinologist with an interest and specific expertise in diabetes research and the clinical care of children with diabetes. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Clark completed her medical training at AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. She then completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas-Austin, followed by an Endocrinology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She is currently an Instructor of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine.
