In this lecture, Dr. Nicole Ducharme provides an update on the treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2.
Goals and Objectives:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 0.75 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Nicole Ducharme, DO is in practice at Washington University’s Center for Advanced Medicine here in Saint Louis, and is also an associate professor in the Endocrine Department at Saint Louis University. Dr. Ducharme is a graduate of Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residencies at the University of Illinois in Chicago in Internal Medicine and also at Caritas Carney in Dorchester, Massachusetts in Endocrinology where she was Chief Resident. She then returned to Missouri to complete an Endocrine Fellowship at Saint Louis University. Dr. Ducharme is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Ducharme discloses that she is on the speaker’s bureaus for Shire and Amgen.
