Dr. Burdt is a rheumatologist at the Iowa Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He has been in practice since 1998.A native of Dubuque, IA, he received his medical degree at Des Moines University, then completed his internal medicine training at the University of Iowa-Des Moines Internal Medicine Residency and rheumatology fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He is board certified in Rheumatology through the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and serves on the board of the Rheumatology Associationof Iowa. Dr. Burdt is active in both undergraduate and post-graduate medical training at Des Moines University, the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and the Mercy Des Moines residency programs.
Dr. Burdt is a retired medical officer from the Iowa Army National Guard. In his time away from his medical practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife in ministry as a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Des Moines.
